Water levels fell in the morning and from mid-afternoon started to rise again but despite this our Dam beat continued to fish well throughout and with four fish caught it was another excellent day: Ally Gowans did well with three fish on the fly – two at 8 and 7lbs in the morning on Pitlochry bank and another at 8lbs on Port-na-Craig bank in the afternoon – nicely done; and in the evening Stuart Humphreys landed a hard fighting fish of 15lbs on the fly on Pitlochry bank. The river has started to drop back again and prospects for the rest of the week look excellent.
