Our Port-na-Craig beat has been very lightly fished so far this season but with the river at a good height this morning a few of our local members were tempted out for a cast today. After a quiet morning things picked up in the afternoon with the first fish of the season caught by Paul Carter - a superb fish of 12lbs on the fly from Port-na-Craig bank – well done! Great to see our season off the mark - and with a settled forecast into next week prospects look excellent.
