Opening Day

Another salmon season got underway on the Tummel this morning and as always hopes were high. Conditions were reasonably favourable with the river at a good height and settled conditions but there was no getting away from the fact that it was cold. Perhaps unsurprisingly it was a low key affair with only a couple of members having a cast and there was to be no opening day fish this year. Hopefully it won’t be too long before the first one comes to the net. Tight lines to all our fishermen for 2021!

Port-na-Craig beat this morning

A couple of members ventured out - but no luck this year
