With the river dropping back to a good height conditions
looked close to ideal at the Dam this morning – hopes were high. By mid
morning, with no fish caught, that initial optimism was starting to disappear –
the fish didn’t seem to be in the mood. Maya Pandya saved the day, though, with
a sea-liced fish of 8lbs caught on the fly on Pitlochry bank early in the
afternoon. Maya has been trying for some
time to get her first Tummel fish and having lost one yesterday it was great to
see her perseverance pay off – well done. Further downstream at Sawmill Les
Dargie continued his good run with a fish of 9lbs caught on the fly. The river should
continue to drop back nicely – looking good for the weekend.
