The river has risen a few inches over the last couple of days and, with a fresh fish about, the Sawmill continues to fish well. The Dam beat, meanwhile, has been quiet - though this probably reflects the fact that it has been very lightly fished as much as anything - the rise of water should improve chances of success for the weekend.
Thursday: Steve Watt had a run through Sawmill and landed a 6lb sea-liced fish on the fly.
