SALMON SEASON 2013

Well here we are once more with just over a week till the opening of another Salmon fishing season on Tummel. The last two years Salmon fishing at the dam beats has been very productive, keeping the Beat in the top three on the Tay system for Spring Salmon fishing. Permits should be available sometime around the 10th January for our visitors. I look forward to meeting once again all our regular and first time anglers to our Dam beat fishings. I hope Season 2013 gives everyone great pleasure. Ever the optimist, with the River running around 3ft at the moment and the water temperature higher than normal at this time of year, we could have Spring fish in the Tummel on opening day. Today in Sawmill I saw a large fish leap clear of the water, maybe it was a " Mirage ".   JK
