Three forty five this morning the first fly hit the water on Portnacraig bank by visitor from Golspie Graham Nichols. The salmon were still asleep however. Slightly later the rod on the other bank tightened into a fish of 9lb on a (Posh Tosh), which fell to visitor Nick Webster who had success the day before on Ruan Ruarie. A late arrival at Portnacraig (7.30) Steve Watt managed a fish almost right away. The early practice for Graham paid off with two fish in the morning at 11lb & 12lb. Steve had another in the morning , both were about 11lb. The afternoon was quiet, maybe due to a slight rise in water. Last night Les Dargie had another fish this week with a twelve pounder on Sawmill. JKKeep up to date with the latest fishing news in the Pitlochry area of Highland Perthshire
