The river dropped back to a very good height overnight, and conditions looked just about perfect this morning. Tony Brown got the day off to a flying start with a superb 12lb fresh-run salmon on the fly from the Pitlochry bank. In the afternoon, Steve Watt followed up with a strong 16lb fish on the spinner from the Port-na-Craig bank. The beat now feels fully up and running for the season — and with more fish beginning to show, we’re hopeful of plenty more action this week.
