The river has been high and unsettled for much of the last week but today all looked good and hopes were high. Paul Carter did well - landing a nice fish of 8lbs on the fly from Pitlochry bank this morning. A further three fish were lost in the morning by other anglers - disappointing - but great to know that the fish are now here in good numbers. Looking very promising for next week - hopefully the season is about to take off.
