Another
salmon season got underway this morning. Fishing conditions were excellent: the
river was at an ideal height and temperatures were well above what might be
expected at this time of year. A few members ventured out for a cast and a few
more looked on - and offered encouragement - from the bank. Unfortunately, there
was to be no opening day springer this year. Hopefully it won’t be too long
before the first fish of the year comes to the net and hopefully a successful
season lies ahead.
