After a quiet spell it was great to see not only the Dam back on form today but also our first fish of the season from our Sawmill beat: Stephen McLaren was first into action with his first ever
fish on the fly – a superb fish of 14lbs from Pitlochry bank early this morning
– well done Stephen – hopefully the first of many; John Muir also had a day to
remember with a hard fighting fish of 22lbs – again from Pitlochry bank early
this morning; and Ally Gowans did well on Port-na-Craig bank with a nice fish
of 7lbs - again in the morning; and in the evening Paul Carter picked up our first Sawmill fish of the season - a lively 9lber on the fly - nicely done. The fish are there .... and looking good for the
weekend.
