It was great to get our first fish of the season today with Steve Watt landing a 14lber on the fly from Port-na-Craig bank early this morning. With the temperature sitting at -3C first thing it was a cold start but fishing conditions were favourable with the river sitting at an ideal height and very light winds. It wasn’t long before Steve had hooked into what was, by all accounts, a very lively fish and fortunately not too long before it came safely to the net – well done Steve! Conditions are looking excellent for the rest of the week – maybe more to come?
