Some rain overnight brought the river up to a good height this morning and with good numbers of fish showing prospects for the day looked good. Ally Gowans took advantage of the situation with a nice fish of 9lbs landed first thing on Pitlochry bank. This turned out to be the only fish of the day, however - the river coloured up from mid-morning and this seemed to put the fish off unfortunately. Hopefully this will clear overnight and with a bit of luck tomorrow should see some good sport.
