Dam Fishing Well

The river dropped back a little overnight but otherwise it was a similar day to yesterday - a cold wind blowing from the north, snow flurries … and fish in the mood to take a fly: Stuart Humphreys got things going with a superb fish of 23lbs on the fly from Pitlochry bank first thing this morning - one to remember: not long after Alun Williams followed up on his success of last week with another great fish – this time with an 18lber from Pitlochry bank in the morning and then another at 8lbs on Port-na-Craig bank in the afternoon – both on the fly; and downstream on Sawmill Jimmy Ross struck again – this time a 10lber on the fly. Great to see good numbers of quality fish in the beat – and looking good for the rest of the week.

A superb fish of 23lbs for Stuart Humphreys - one of three caught on the beat today
