The river
was high and coloured over the weekend but has since dropped and cleared nicely
- but at 4 feet above summer level it looked to be on the high side for good
sport this morning. First run down Port-na-Craig bank, though, and Iain McLaren
was able to find a fish – landing a hard fighting 10lber on the fly – nicely done.
Shortly after the lunchtime changeover Alun Williams followed up with a superb
fish of 22lbs on the fly – needless to say the fish put up quite a fight in the
high water – one to remember - well done! A great start to the week and looking very
promising for the rest of the week.
