IMPORTANT - Covid & Pitlochry Angling Club

COVID and PAC When permits went on sale in December 2019 there was no hint of the ravages that COVID would cause, in fact there was no mention of COVID. When the totally unforeseen and unforeseeable “Lockdown” legislation was introduced, fishing was banned and the Club decided without obligation or prejudice, as a gesture of goodwill, to refund monies for all day permits for days during the affected period and make part refunds for season permits which included the affected period. Under the Club’s Terms and Conditions – Distance Selling Regulations, it is clearly stated “There is no consumers right to cancel permits and no refunds are given.” Nonetheless, in the prevailing extraordinary and unique circumstances, the Club waived that condition and made refunds of around £15,000.

Season 2021 The Club will continue to comply with all COVID legislation and guidelines and requires compliance by all permit holders. It is clear and foreseeable that risks of activities being constrained or banned due to COVID legislation and/or Guidelines in future exist, a totally different situation to that which occurred in 2019/20. Therefore, these risks must be accepted by purchasers and as from 11 November 2020, no refunds will be given for permits that cannot be used. You will be deemed to have accepted this when making bookings.
