Whilst doing some bankside tidying up on the bottom end of the Sawmill bank yesterday, one of our Club members, Innes Smith, stepped into a new beaver tunnel and went head over heals into the river, saw and all. Thankfully he managed to get safely back onshore. The message is to take care at all times on river banks as well as out on the river and be particularly careful, such as on the member's Sawmill Beat, anywhere beavers are known to frequent or there are any signs of beaver activity.
