Conditions were close to ideal this morning and with good
numbers of fish seen first thing this morning prospects looked excellent. That
early promise was realised with six fish caught in what was a superb day on our
Dam beat: Steve Watt landed four fish - three at 7, 12 and 15lbs caught early this
morning on the fly on Pitlochry bank with another to follow at 16lbs on the
spinner on Port-na-Craig bank in the afternoon; and Bruce Campbell landed two
in the afternoon at 13lbs and 23lbs on Pitlochry bank – both caught
on the fly. At least another four fish were lost throughout the day. Great
fishing at the moment and looking good for the rest of the week.
