It was another cold day on the river and a stiff upstream wind didn't make things any easier. Saul Mackay persevered, though, and was rewarded with a hard fighting fish of 13lbs caught on the fly on Pitlochry bank just before midday - it can be done. The river remains at a good height - room for optimism this week.
