Last week the wind blew downstream and yesterday (Monday) it
blew upstream – other than that not much changed at the Dam – fish showing but
none willing to take – despite the best efforts of the rods. The Sawmill can
still produce a fish, though - Ally Gowans landed a nice fish of 10lbs on the
fly this morning - and up at Ruan Ruarie Dave Wilson managed to intercept an early runner catching a fish of 7lb on the spinner. Room for optimism.
