Plenty of fish were showing first thing this morning and with six fish caught the day didn't disappoint: Jimmy Ross opened his account with a 10lb fish from Port-na-Craig bank on a shrimp pattern; Gordon Hanslip continued his good start to the season with a 14lber from Pitlochry bank on the fly; Bruce Campbell lost a fish early in the day but was more successful just before the midday changeover with an 11lb sea liced fish (see photo below) from Port-na-Craig on the fly; Gordon Nichol landed two on the afternoon at 7 and 11 lbs on Pitlochry bank on a Willie Gunn tube; and Steve Watt rounded off an excellent day with a 9lb fish from Port-na-Craig bank in the evening - again on a Willie Gunn. With 45 caught April has ended well ahead of the 5 year average of 28. Let's hope the good fishing continues into May.
