Pitlochry Angling Club Flash News…..

Beginning in the new club year, after the AGM (December 15th 2010 – Scotland’s Hotel) the Pitlochry Angling Club will be introducing a new web site with a slightly different format, which will serve to provide information and news to members and visitors.

In addition to buying from our existing partners, TIC and Quayle’s, you will now be able to use the system to buy permits to fish. Of course, it will be necessary to have a computer with internet access and an e-mail address to use the new system.

This should make life easier for those in the outlying areas of the club’s membership boundaries as they will not have to visit Pitlochry to buy their permits. The system is designed to be easy to use and offers visibility of fishing, prices and dates “at-a-glance” and you print your own permit.

You may buy permits using your credit/debit card or by using a PayPal account, which is slightly faster. Creating a PayPal account is quick, easy and secure. The system will also be used to collect annual club membership subscriptions and issue you a membership certificate which you can print and exchange for your plastic membership card.

If you don’t want to buy permits in this way, you may still use cash at Quayle’s and at Scotland's Hotel in Lettcoh Place, or you can remit subs to Ron in the usual way, who will update the system for you.

The club will be issuing user names and log-ins to members soon. When you get this, please log-in and verify and alter, if necessary, all your personal details under the “My Profile” tab, remembering to “Save”. Doing this will ensure that you are charged to correct subscription renewal. It will also ensure that you see the members’ permit prices and availabilities, which are different from non-members'.

Visitors to Pitlochry who are not members may also use the system, but must complete and save their profile before doing so. In all cases the correct fishing availabilities are shown and double-booking will not be possible.
