Rain, gusty winds and a river up five inches overnight: not the best fishing conditions and for the first time in a while no fish were caught at the Dam – despite the best efforts of the anglers out. Further downstream on Sawmill, though, Mark Brazendale showed it can be done getting his first fish of the year – a 9lber on the fly – well done! Will be interesting to see how the weekend goes – could be good.
