The river dropped back overnight and was at an ideal fishing height this morning. There weren’t too many fish showing but they were in the mood to take and with five salmon and a sea trout it was an excellent day at the Dam: Alun Williams landed an 8lber on the fly and a 3lb sea trout on the spinner on Port-na-Craig bank this morning and a 14lber on the spinner on Pitlochry bank in the afternoon; David Leishman landed an 8lber later in the morning on Port-na-Craig bank; over on Pitlochry bank Tony Brown caught an 8lber on the fly in the morning; and in the evening Steve Watt caught an 11lber on the fly on Port-na-Craig bank. At least five more fish were lost throughout the day. Great fishing and hopefully more to come this week.
