After the very cold easterly winds which persisted in the hills for the first week or so of the new season the fishing certainly picked up for the second half of April.
Some excellent catches have been reported from Bhac with anglers finding small black lures doing well.
At Kinardochy the brown trout have certainly made the most of the very mild winter as they are in excellent condition and black traditional wet flies proving popular.
