The
river rose slightly overnight and with nothing caught by lunchtime and few fish
showing things weren’t looking too promising at the Dam. Further down on our
Sawmill beat, though, it was a different story; Ally Gowans had a quick run
through and was rewarded with a superb sea-liced fish of 9lbs caught on the fly
at the BP burn. With the river set to drop back it’s looking good for a few
more tomorrow.
