The first fish of the season was caught today - a fresh 8lber from Sawmill this morning. The successful angler was Les Dargie who, not for the first time, wins the Mitchell Trophy for the first fly caught salmon of the season caught by a member on Club waters - well done. With a couple of fish lost on Saturday at the Dam and the river running at a good height it is perhaps not surprising that a fish has finally been landed. Surely not too long before a second comes to the net.
