Mixed Fortunes At The Dam And Sawmill

It was almost the perfect start this morning: Ian Willis hooked a +20lb fish first thing on Pitlochry bank but lost it at the net after a 20 minute fight- unlucky. Over on Port-na-Craig bank Mike Smith was more fortunate - landing an 8lb fish on the spinner shortly before changeover. In the evening Paul Carter opened his account for the season with a nice fish of 11 lbs on Pitlochry bank on the fly. Further downstream at Sawmill Les Dargie lost a fish just as he was about to land it but fished on to land a 14lb sea liced fish. Fish were showing for most of the day - tomorrow could be good - especially if the river drops down a little.
