A stiff downstream breeze made things tricky at the Dam today. Casting skills were tested to the full and with only a few fish showing over the course of the morning a blank was becoming a real possibility. Shortly before midday Ally Gowans broke the deadlock, however, with a fish of 13lbs from Pitlochry bank on the fly - good effort. More settled weather is forecast for the weekend - prospects look good.
