Traffic volume on the system over the last couple of days has been huge. Thanks to everyone who booked permits we hope that our fishing will again live up to your expectations.
Some customers were frustrated by "loosing" permits so here is what happens. Permits are selected from the calendars and put into the cart, however it is possible that several persons could have selected the same permit. When the system was busy the same permits were often in a number of carts. What happens then is that the first person to pay for the permit succeeds in purchasing it and the permit is automatically removed from the other carts because it is no longer available. This is why permits may have gone "missing" from your cart! Sorry but you just got beaten to the till! First come first served!
As can be seen from the bookings many of our anglers favour starting on the Pitlochry Bank. Last season's returns show that actually more fish were caught from the Portnacraig side. Low water favours the Pitlochry side and higher flows suit Portnacraig better but fish are fickle and who knows what the next cast might bring?
