The Tayside Beaver Study Group, is seeking your help. The Group is monitoring all aspects of beaver activity in the now quite large beaver population which is present in Tayside. It is keen to get information on sites where beaver dams may impact on the movement of migrating salmonids, including on spawning salmon and sea trout, or any other impacts on salmonids. If you are aware of any such sites in Tayside, please contact Helen Dickinson, the Project Officer http://taysidebeaverstudygroup.org.uk/, hdickinson@scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk, 01738 458592, mobile 07795608262. Helen is based at SNH Battleby, Redgorton, Perth, PH1 3EW and her normal working days are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. She will be happy to arrange a site visit to document any issues. Helen also liaises closely with the Beaver-Salmonid Working Group which is investigating the potential for beaver-salmonid interaction across Scotland.
