Fishing conditions looked to be near ideal this morning and Iain McLaren took advantage with fish of 11 and 12lbs from Pitlochry bank on the fly. Two further fish were lost on the fly before the wind picked up making things difficult. Late in the afternoon, though, Steve Watt also got two - at 12 and 13lb - on the Rapala from Pitlochry bank. Further downstream on Sawmill Gordon Hanslip also got in on the action picking up a fish of around 10lbs on the fly. Not a bad start to the week.
