The 2014 season got underway on the River Tummel this morning with an excellent turnout of club members and a number of visitors watching on also. With the recent mild weather and the river sitting at 2'4" hopes were high for a repeat of last year's opening day success. Despite best efforts - and the odd fish showing - it wasn't to be, unfortunately. With the river looking set to fall further, though, prospects are excellent and it shouldn't be too long before that first springer comes to the net.
