Not a bad week below the dam, with 8 fish caught, all off the Pitlochry bank, three on fly and 5 on spinner. Four salmon were also caught on the members' Sawmill Beat. No fish were reported caught on the Ruan Ruarie beat. Both the Tummel and Garry have risen a bit today (Sunday) following rain to the north and should be in excellent condition for the coming week.
We start an 8 week summer period on 1 July on the deservedly popular Lower Tummel Beat. This is lovely fly water and only fly fishing is allowed on it except in high water. Often early July is good for grilse on the beat.
