MAURICE WILSON TROPHY

2013 is the twentieth anniversary of the passing of Maurice Wilson while fishing below the dam. ( This brings a smile to my face and I don`t know why ! is that the way to leave ) Iwas not involved with Pitlochry Angling Club at that time but have listened to stories about Maurice from various sources. Maurice was a character! stories which I cant relay on paper. Jock Tamson`s bairns springs to mind ( were all the same under the skin ). This is the first season of this new addition to our Trophys and the well deserved winner this Season is Brian Joseph with a lovely fresh fish of 17lb from Portnacraig bank which is the largest fish caught in June from the Dam beat by a club member. The fishing has been a bit quieter over the weekend but Kevin O` Brien did manage one of 14lb a sea- licer from Portnacraig bank on a Red Francis  JK
