OLD TOBACCO TIN BACK IN TOWN

That old Fife angler Neil Maclellan and brother in law Willie Goodwin were having their first shot at the Dam this season. Flurries of snow and a chill wind met them on their arrival. Willie ties a braw fly and was soon into a beautiful fresh fish of 13lb on a Templedog dressing. Well done Sir. A few minutes later it was Neils turn and again a lovely fresh fish of 16lb was landed. On closer inspection at the successful pattern (Gold bodied Willie Gunn) it turned out that Willie gave Neil the fly as earlier that old Tobacco tin was jammed tight. ( Presumably with rust ) I can imagine what the contents are like. When you return on your next visit Neil I will get a tin of WD 40 ---- Then maybe its better jammed.   JK
