DOGGED DETERMINATION

Yesterday regular visitors Gary Weir and Russell Boyd had a nightmare start to their day when Garys car broke down at Dunblane. Eventually the car was recovered and they returned to Glasgow. At this point most people would have called it a day as it was almost lunchtime. Not a bit of it ! . Fishing gear transferred to Russells car they were off and running only to run into a snow blizzard at Gleneagles. Onward and upward was the cry and they eventually reached the Dam beat about 2pm. Although fishing conditions have not been great for our beat Russell still managed a 9lb Springer on Pitlochry bank. Nobody can deny you deserved that fish. Well done lads. Pictured here is Stuart Dodds with his 11lb fish last Wednesday.      JK
